Health is the first cluster under the Horizon Europe Work Programme 2023-2024. Major societal issues are the focus of calls under Destination 1 of the Cluster: “Staying healthy in a rapidly changing society”.

This Destination focuses on holistic and integrated approaches to disease prevention and health promotion, notably healthy aging, on a life course approach to physical and mental health starting in early childhood, and on personalised approaches to the prevention of diseases.

Under this Destination, we would like to point out the topic: The Silver Deal - Person-centred health and care in European regions.

Small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs), as well as European, national, and regional authorities and civil society, are encouraged to participate in this topic to advance European Health- and Age-Tech and increase the adoption of cutting-edge health and care solutions in the EU and Associated Countries.

The proposed research and innovation should focus on all the following aspects:

1. Consolidate high-quality effective, integrated, innovative, and digitally-enabled person-centred health and long-term care services and solutions.
2. Develop and provide evidenced-based new approaches, coordinated care models, and pathways, for delivering effective, person-centred health and long-term care solutions at the system and community level.
3. Support adoption and market innovation of novel health and care solutions, co-created with and designed for older age-related health conditions.
