The 2022 Heart Rhythm Congress 2022: registrations are open!

  • 25 August 2022

The Arrhythmia Alliance (A-A), one of AFFIRMO’s partners, is organising the Heart Rhythm Congress 2022 (HRC2022), the UK’s largest heart rhythm congress which will take place from 9 to 11 October 2022. There is something for everyone: whatever your role in the healthcare team, there are sessions at HRC that meet your needs and improve your education.

A-A is a collaboration of healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers, allied professionals, policy makers and governments – all working together to improve the quality of life for all those affected by or involved in the care of those suffering with arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation. It represents many of AFFIRMO’S key target audiences, which namely are patients, patient associations and formal and informal caregivers.

Indeed, AFFIRMO deals with atrial fibrillation – an abnormal heart rhythm with rapid and irregular beating – amongst Europe’s elderly population. Its challenge is to move from fragmentation to an integrated care strategy designed to be patient-centred, and AFFIRMO's answer to this challenge is to develop a holistic care approach based on the 'Atrial Fibrillation Better Care'(ABC) model. This is the reason for the interest in this major event, dedicated to all healthcare professionals across all disciplines with an interest in arrhythmias.

HRC2022 will be a combination of both in-person and online – a hybrid event to meet the needs of everybody. The in-person event will take place at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham (UK) from 9 to 11 October, with Patients day launching on the 14 October and the Online scientific sessions launching on the 21 October and remaining open for 12 months until September 2023.

Lectures, refresher courses, meetings with experts, oral abstracts and much more will take place during these days dedicated to heart rhythm-related issues. Check out the full programme here!
