IMI impact on: Early career researchers

  • 12 April 2023

Did you know that early career researchers (ECRs) - defined as those who have finished their PhD within the last few years - have a wealth of professional development opportunities thanks to public-private partnerships (PPPs)?

Early career researchers can gain practical experience working in multidisciplinary teams with people from diverse backgrounds, including those in government agencies, non-profit organizations, and industry, through PPPs, which are collaborative projects. Furthermore, ECRs may gain valuable networking opportunities and a better understanding of industry practices from this exposure. In addition, ECRs can also learn crucial abilities like project management, teamwork, and communication, which are applicable in various industries. Moreover, PPPs also provide access to resources for early career researchers that may not be accessible through academic institutions.

This event will highlight how Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) projects support the professional advancement of early career researchers. The session will focus on projects supported by the Innovative Medicines Initiative, a partnership between the European Union and the European pharmaceutical industry.

Don't miss this opportunity! Join the online event on Monday, April 17th, from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM
