IHI Brokerage Event 2025 Set to Boost Health Innovation Partnerships

  • 03 September 2025

Brussels will once again become the meeting point for Europe’s health innovation community this autumn, as the Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) hosts its Brokerage Event 2025 on 4–5 November. The two-day gathering is designed to help researchers, patient groups, and industry representatives build the partnerships needed to compete successfully in IHI’s upcoming single-stage call for proposals.

The brokerage event is an effective platform for forming consortia in the health sector that offers participants the chance to present their ideas during pitching sessions, showcase their work in poster exhibitions, and meet face-to-face with potential collaborators. The organisers emphasise that the event is not only about exchanging ideas but also about forging the trust and mutual understanding that make for strong project proposals.

To complement the in-person networking, IHI also planned to launch an online networking platform, allowing participants to extend their conversations before and after the Brussels meeting. This digital space is expected to widen participation and make it easier for organisations from across Europe and beyond to connect.

The event is seen as particularly timely for those interested in responding to IHI’s forthcoming funding call. By meeting potential partners early, organisations will be able to begin shaping their proposals well in advance of the deadline. For universities, SMEs, large companies, and patient-led groups alike, the brokerage event offers a valuable chance to ensure their expertise finds a place within competitive, multidisciplinary consortia.

Further details about the programme and the topics of the upcoming IHI calls will be published after the summer.
