EACH Cardiovascular Health Summit

  • 30 October 2025

On 10-11 December 2025, the European Alliance for Cardiovascular Health (EACH) will host the EACH Cardiovascular Health Summit at the EU Parliament in Brussels, a two-day event dedicated to advancing cardiovascular health across Europe.

This forthcoming Summit will explore the necessary intersection of science, policy, and collaboration. Day 1 will focus on policy and systems, with an enriching programme starting with a keynote speech by Oliver Varhelyi, EU Commissioner for Health, who will present the EU Cardiovascular Health Plan. The session will continue with insightful reflections from the European Parliament on cardiovascular policy, followed by science “snippets” exploring the relationship between cardiovascular and mental health and the environmental influences on cardiovascular risk. A high-level policy panel will examine how to tackle inequalities and promote equity in cardiovascular health across the EU, and the event will also present Denmark’s national approach to cardiovascular health, offering valuable insights into a successful model.

On Day 2, the focus will shift to science, research, and patient perspectives. Key topics will include the future of research and innovation in cardiovascular health, with patients sharing their experiences and insights on how their stories can shape EU cardiovascular policy. A session will also explore the critical intersection between cardiovascular disease and cancer, and the day will conclude with a panel on competitiveness and investment, emphasizing how enhancing cardiovascular health can strengthen the EU economy and benefit society.

The Summit offers a unique opportunity for health stakeholders, policymakers, and national representatives to engage directly with MEPs, share best practices, and learn about emerging trends in cardiovascular risk and prevention.  Attendees will gain valuable insights into patients’ experiences and explore the EU Cardiovascular Health Plan and its impact on Europe’s future.
