Medical University – Plovdiv, Bulgaria is a public institution of higher education accredited by the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency. It provides training of students in Medicine, Dental Medicine, Pharmacy and Public health as well as postgraduate training of PhD students and specializing medical professionals in Medical College of the University.
Medical University - Plovdiv is a member of the European Association of Medical Schools. It is a bearer of the Erasmus University Charter ensuring participation in international educational projects and programs of the European Union to guarantee quality training and student and teacher mobility for integration into the European structures. Research activities in Medical University-Plovdiv are synchronized with priority research areas of national and international importance.
The present work will be carried out at the Ist Department of Internal Diseases, Section Cardiology. The scientists involved form a multidisciplinary team with expertise in cardiology, neurology, public health. Mariya Tokmakova will be a national coordinator within WP7, cluster RT. The team will form a national coordinator centre and contribute for the specific objectives of the WP7, cluster RT and coordination among the participating clusters (centres) at a national level.
